What is the science behind the benefits of mindfulness?

More than thirty years of research in such disciplines as neuroscience, psychology, and medicine demonstrates that mindfulness affects how we think, how we feel, how we act, and our overall well-being (Good, Lyddy, Glomb, Bono, Brown, Duffy, Baer, Brewer, & Lazar, 2017).

What are the benefits of mindfulness?

Most of the benefits that flow from the practice of mindfulness are related to our ability to be in the moment. Some of the documented benefits of mindfulness are reduced stress and anxiety, improved focus and attention, stronger relationships, and an overall sense of well-being. What is the difference between meditation and mindfulness?

Meditation and mindfulness are terms often used interchangeably leaving many confused or thinking they are the same. The way we think of meditation is that it is just one of many ways that you can become more mindful.
